Ernest Burn Gewurtztraminer la Chapelle 2016
Yet another bottle from Ernest Burn. I’m starting run out of things to say about these wonderful wines. An unkind soul might say that happened a while ago. In terms of luscious richness this fits in between the Dauphin and the Vendages Tardives that I have already written about. This time it’s a Gewürztraminer though, so there’s a prickly-edged lychee flavour to go along with it. Lovely, of course.
My apologies for the photo – it almost looks if I had to fish the bottle hurriedly out of the recycling bin a few days later when I realised I had forgotten to take one. There’s a good reason for that.
