The Scotland – England Border
After 76 days, I can see England. It’s just over there, beyond the fence. This side, wander where you like. That side, well, if you insist on your right to walk over my land on a public footpath make sure you keep your grubby little boots between the barbed wire fences.
But I’m not crossing into England yet – at least, not knowingly. I’m turning right here and following the border inland for a while. I’m following a GPX track provided by someone who has walked the entire length, but unfortunately the file seems to follow the official border precisely rather than the route he took. This means the virtual walk could turn into a virtual swim along the Tweed. Marchbanks sleeps with the fishes.
