Leaving Dundee, so a 2km walk above the Silvery Tay. The walkway/cycle path runs between the two dual carriageways, and is accessed by going up a level from the ground below. At the southern end there is a ramp, but cyclists crossing the bridge northwards on National Cycle Route 1 find their way blocked by a door as they reach Dundee. There they must wait for a lift to take them down to street level before continuing. That can’t happen on many other cycle routes on the planet, surely?
