Day 97 – coming down a little
Domaine Bruno Sorg Riesling Pfersigberg 2015
Another bottle from Sorg, and I’m astonished to find it is only the second I have opened since the walk began.
-
Day 95 – somewhere on the roof of the world
Ch. de Rouanne Vinsobres 2019
I admit I’m a bit Rhône-centric and have been on a bit of a run for the last few days.

Day 93 – Lintley
Brunier Piedlong Chateauneuf-du-Pape 2015
Piedlong is another of the Brunier wines. This is a Châteauneuf, but an unusually simple one consisting of just two grape varieties – 90% Grenache and 10% Mourvèdre.

Day 91 – Hadrian’s Wall
Dom. de Gramenon Valreas Elementaire 2016
I was given two bottles of Gramenon Elémentaire, a 2016 and a 2018, by a wine merchant as a gift a few years ago.

Day 89 – Ladyhill
Du Peloux Condrieu Princes de France 2019
Recently Aldi UK decided to flog off some of its higher-priced wines at half-price, bringing them down to ten quid.

Day 88 – Shitlington Hall
Jacky Blot Montlouis Brut Tradition
In the entry for Jacky Blot’s Clos de Mosny I said that I must have already mentioned his Bourgeuils and Triple Zero sparkling.
-
Day 84 – a long way from anywhere, again
La Bastide Saint Dominique Cotes-du-Rhone 2018
After my trip to Belgium (see previous post) I visited St Omer, and the town’s branch of Monsieur Vin (a small chain of merchants.)

Day 82 – a long way from anywhere
Ch. les Cruzelles 2015
A few months ago I was made aware of Ch. les Cruzelles by a merchant who was offering the 2019 in bond.

Day 81 – On the Border
Famille Perrin Ventoux 2019
As Lego Marchbanks straddles the border between Scotland and England, I’m up at 4.30am tomorrow to cross from England into France.

Day 79 – Coldstream
Ernest Burn Gewurtztraminer la Chapelle 2016
Yet another bottle from Ernest Burn. I’m starting run out of things to say about these wonderful wines.
